Protect Computers from Viruses, Malwares and Shortcuts coming with USB without using Antivirus

                 Most of the active viruses get infect your system as you open the Pen Drive icon. As virus always creates an autorun.inf file which makes your data hidden and read only format. It points to the main virus file which is also located on the pen drive. When user double clicks on the pen drive files pointed by the autorun.inf got executed and copies the virus files on your system.

To protect from this type of shortcut virus follow the below steps:

1. Disable Autorun of your Pen Drive:
  • Open the Control Panel from My computer then click on AutoPlay (for windows 7, 8, 8.1).
  • Change the tick mark from the check box given before the Use AutoPlay for all media and devices.
  • Click on Save button given below the window.


2. Using USB Disk Security

         Download the USB Disk Security software from www.zbshareware.com and install it. Now insert your pen drive in the USB port of your system.

  • Open it and click on the USB Scan tab then click on USB Vaccine tab given at the bottom of the window.
  • From the coming window click on Vaccinate USB.
                          Now your Computer/USB drive is prevented from inadvertently malwares.
