Lock screen for Windows Phone 8.1

Windows Phone 8.1 consists of many features like Cortana digital support, customize Start Screen images, Lock screen app. The last mentioned feature is not available now. It allows you to change your lock screen background and its animation. As it is a hidden feature Microsoft has been kept it as a secret.

Now Windows Phone head Joe Belfiore has announced through twitter that the beta version of new Windows Phone 8.1 lock screen app is almost here and perhaps it will roll out in a week. This app will surely help the users to customize phone as they wish.

 He also added up that the app will be available in English and is compatible with devices having at least 1GB RAM or more. If you’re Windows Phone has this capability then wait, just for one week and give it a fresh look.

Microsoft's official weather app for Android and Windows Phone

Windows phone store always lags official apps. But now the situation is slightly changing. Because in last week Microsoft has given new updates to Skype. They had also launched a new video editing app named Video Tuner. Now come up with a new app called Climatography for both Windows phone and Android phone users.

The app gives about climate information of various places along with weather conditions of different years. Most of the weather app will forecast about climate changes for upcoming days only.

Requirements:

• For Android - 2.3.3 OS version Gingerbread or above

• For Windows – Windows Phone 8 / Windows Phone 8.1

Now Climatography app doesn’t have Fahrenheit scale. Hope it could be corrected in next updating versions with many new features.
