Erase data from stolen Android device using ADM


Android Device Manager (ADM) helps to locate, lock or wipe out the data in your phone when you lose it. You can remotely access it from any computer or tablets. This could be done only after connecting your Android device with Google. ADM has come in the last year itself but now it allows guests to log into it with full access. Currently Apple users are enjoying it when there phone is lost or stolen.

ADM will track your lost Android devices like phone or tablet which has already linked with your Google account. The devices should need GPS equipped otherwise it may not get worked. Can also be used to find the misplaced phones inside your home itself even if it is in silent mode.

Getting started with Android Device Manager

  • First of all go to Android Device Manager website and register your device. Accept all requests for location data and enable lock and erase.
  • Tap activate option which you receive in your device to activate ADM service.

Using Android Device Manager

  • Go to Android Device Manager website and select the device which you are linked.
  • Select ring when you misplace your device inside your home (Rings for 5 min at full volume also in silent mode). Press power button to stop ringing.
  • New lock screen enables you to lock your device with a new password (Use when you lose your phone outside home).
  • Erase all data will delete all your data in your phone (Use when your phone is in wrong hands).
